Now this place is interesting. Allison Island is technically within the city limits of Miami Beach. Situated inside the Indian Creek Waterway in the neighborhood of La Gorce, you’re surrounded by water and the pristine views that come with it. The island is purely residential, so you’ll either spend your days at home, on the water or at one of the nearby cities. The good part is you’re just a short jaunt from the main Miami Beach area and all that comes with it including Indian Creek Park.
This is a very quiet neighborhood. So if you’re looking for a slower pace, you’ve found it. That’s not to say you can’t find a party nearby. Living on Allison Island means you’ll be less than a mile from Miami Beach’s only private club, La Gorce Country Club. You’re also just a 10-minute drive, pending that Miami traffic, from Bal Harbour and South Beach. And with the privacy and security on Allison Island, you’ll never have to worry about uninvited guests.
Where To Live:
The average home price on the island is $20 million. If you think you’d rather rent, be prepared to shell out $20,000 a month. You’ll have your choice from just a handful of properties here but all come with views of the Indian Creek Waterway. Private pools and boat slips are as standard here as garbage disposals. The neighborhood is gated around the clock for the safety of residents. Homes sit on the north end of the island and condos on the south.
